Flame as ingredient
not decoration

Our kitchen is built around a central hearth burning seasoned oak. Heat, smoke and ember are treated like seasoning: carefully measured, never loud, always present.

Oak smoke

A clean, steady smoke gives shellfish, roots and aged beef a quiet depth without masking their character.

Seasonal British produce

Menus move with coastal landings, small farms, orchard fruit and the best leaves arriving each morning.

Tableside finishing

Selected courses are carved, glazed or scented at the table so the final moment belongs to the guest.

Line caught turbot is rested over embers, glossed with brown butter and lifted with coastal herbs. It is the dish that best explains Ember and Oak: restrained, smoky, exact.

Our wine list is built for food cooked over flame: mineral whites, mature Burgundy, structured Barolo, volcanic reds and small grower Champagne. Pairings are available with or without alcohol.

A private room
with its own fire

The Oak Room hosts intimate celebrations, board dinners and brand evenings with a dedicated service team, a tailored menu and optional wine flight.

Up to 18 guests seated around one long oak table, or 28 guests for a standing reception.
